It's VERY hot outside and we promised the kids that we would make s'mores outside in the fire pit. But building a fire and roasting marshmallows sounded like a little taste of Hell, rather than Heaven, to me! And a couple of one-track minds would not let the issue drop. So, after a lot of badgering, I improvised a little...OK, a lot. We did not go outside to make them. Everyone was happy and I stayed cool. All good!
Each of the kids took a jumbo-sized marshmallow and roasted it on a skewer stick over a perfectly lit flame. Then everyone layered their toasty marshmallows into some graham crackers with a piece of chocolate bar. S'more yummies on a HOT day, after all.
Some were pleased, a little more, than others!
