Ashley got the final farewell letter from the orthodontist today. They've done all that they can, and now the rest is up to her. But looking at the before and after pictures...I'd call it a small miracle!
This was her 8 1/2 year old mouth, before orthodontic intervention. Cross-bite, under-bite, with various other issues.
Ashley wasn't displeased with her smile before...but it looked a little more than gappy and sideways to her mom and dad then they thought it should be. Ellingsen and Paxton Orthodontics thought so too. She spent almost three years in retainers, working on correcting the bite issues. The last three years were spent in full braces.
Payday, was back in June, when the braces came off. She had clear retainers made to keep everything in alignment and her final check-up was this month. She is officially "done" with the treatment plans and what a
difference in how she looks! Dr Ellingsen told her that what was done to her teeth and smile was a gift that her parents gave her. What she does with them from now on will be the gift that she gives to herself. Looking at the before and after pictures...I'm blown away! That was worth the investment :)
