Four Eyes are Better than Two....

Some days are just plain busy.  Then some days are totally jam packed.  It's the week before Spring break and that means half days at school for parent/teacher conferences...and kids home way too early!   I got my conferences out of the way on the first day.  Let's just say...I have some exceptional kids. Three of them have perfect grades...and the other two are not far behind.  And the compliments and praise was abounding for all of them!
We took them to Sushi Maru as a treat for their good grades. It's amazing how a little raw fish and seaweed can make everyone SO happy!  It was a nice way to reward them for working hard and being so sharp!

One thing that hasn't been too sharp for Jessica, however, has been her eyesight.  Nathan and Braden mentioned things getting duller and blurry over a period of months before we had their vision checked and prescriptions issued.
Jessica never said anything until a couple of weeks ago about the changes in what she saw.  But when she noticed a more pronounced change in her sight, she finally said something.  I got her into the family eye doctor before the upcoming move, only to find out that her vision is worse than Nathan and Braden's combined!  So the glasses were ordered and her future forever changed!  She's now the youngest in our near-sighted family to get glasses.
When she put the glasses on, the difference in her vision was immediate!  She kept saying that she had no idea that things were "smaller" and "clearer" then she thought.  Her little frames are purple with pink swirls on the side.
What a difference that a pair of glasses can make in your little world.  Jessica is definitely a cutie with and without the glasses.  Just goes to show--that sometimes four eyes are better than two!
