Happy Birthday--Nathan and Cameron!!

Happy Birthday to Nathan and Cameron!! They turned 11 years-old today. My...how time flies. I never thought of 11 as a major stepping stone along the way through childhood, but it is definitely not a birthday without significance.

One of their gifts was their new Boy Scout uniforms and books. It's officially started--the journey on the path towards the rank of Eagle Scout. I'm sure that the mess kits will also come in handy on the future camp-outs with their troop.

They also loved the cards and cash from Grandma/Grandpa Eibert and Great-Grandma Ida Mae. There was a lot of chatter about what they would buy with their money. The plotting and planning is 95% of the fun of birthday money.

Each of the boys got an updated version of some games that are old favorites. But there's a twist in the version of these games though--you have to build the game board before you can play. They are called the U-Build Mouse Trap and U-Build Connect 4. They should be great boredom busters during the hot summer afternoons.

A few weeks back, Cameron sold all of his Nerf guns and RC car to get enough money to buy his very own i-Pod. He got a great deal at Fred Meyer--courtesy of a few strategically placed coupons--and a fab sale. And what he really wanted for his birthday was i-Tunes cards to put on his new "toy". Nathan got an awesome Lego Star Wars Starfighter Jet to assemble--which he started immediately. He loves the challenge as much as Cameron loves the tunes.

These boys are as different as can be in their looks, likes, and loves. But they definitely share the same important day in the history of our family. It's amazing how smart and unique each of them are. The last eleven years have been FULL because of them. There has never been a dull moment--as I'm sure, the next eleven years will be also.
